Present Moment Yoga is for people who want to take things slow. Who want to be mindful, not only while doing yoga poses, but throughout their day, throughout their life. Because by being slow and mindful, you're in touch with your body and your mind. You can adjust a pose so it's just right for you, reducing the risk of injury and increasing the effectiveness of each pose. Breathing slowly, synchronized to each movement, is an important part of yoga. Present Moment Yoga gives you a deep yoga experience, while bringing a smile to your face.
Present Moment Yoga is for people who want to:

  • be flexible and strong
  • have better balance
  • have better posture
  • move slowly and mindfully

Every class includes balance poses, standing poses, seated poses, reclining poses, twists, gentle inversions, and restorative poses.

Present Moment Yoga classes are gentle and perfect for all ages and abilities. There's no Sanskrit, no chanting, no gurus or swamis. Just stretching, balancing, breathing and smiling.
Safety is an overarching concern:
By moving slowly with the breath, you will get to know your body better and be able to feel when something's not quite right. If you have an injury or physical limitation, you may need to avoid certain poses or movements. We'll find other ones that work better for you.

About me:
My name is Sharon Struthers and I am a registered yoga teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance. I did my teacher training in 2010 at Nosara Yoga Institute in Nosara, Costa Rica, under the guidance of Don and Amba Stapleton and Indira Kate Kalmbach. I have been practicing yoga seriously since 2005. Yoga brings me peace and joy every single day.

I meditate every day as well, and  incorporate meditation into my yoga classes.

I specialize in private and small group classes, which are customized according to your needs and desires.
